Zach Grienke and other reasons to exist today.

Zach threw a complete game shutout on Saturday night against the Texas Rangers and for some crazy reason I expected to either immediately win the lottery or for the world immediately to end. But alas neither happened. What did happen was Kyle Farnsworth lit the blogging world on fire the next day by losing his 3rd game for the Royals. I am pretty sure that thousands upon thousands of angry royals fans signed up for twitter just to complain about the man (something I would have done if I didn’t already have a twitter!). So I guess things even out in the end.

On Saturday Cara and I also volunteered at the Harvester’s of KC (which I suspect filled my karma tank full and allowed Grienke to throw the shutout). It was an interesting afternoon of washing pop cans to prevent infestations and mold from forming before they are donated to food banks and such. It felt really good to help, even doing such a small part of all the things that go on at Harvesters. I encourage you to go up and give them a hand when you get a chance.

Caught up on my Fantasy Factory episodes tonight and never more in my life have I wished I had the life of Rob Dyrdek. The Man is after my heart. He can make super basketball shots in addition to goofing off all day long and getting paid for it! It is nuts.

Outside of that I suppose it is a good day to be alive. The weather is getting nice and baseball is in full swing. Sometimes I tend to overlook the good stuff and focus on the bad things (I still have bad things, I just don’t want to focus on them today). I better get off here before I decide to purge some bad stuff!

I am going to read more than just the internet. I have a pile of books that are waiting for me…
