So it is no secret that I love movies. I love them so much that earlier this year I broke down and got a PS3 with BluRay capabilities. Of course I waited long enough to see which format was going to win out when HD DVD and BluRay were fighting. So since I have a BluRay player now I like to get BR discs from NetFlix.
This past weekend Cara and I revisited Step Brothers starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. We saw this in the theatre when it came out, but it was worth watching again.
To sum up the film without ruining too much as I recommend you watch it for yourself: it is retarded, yet charming. Have you seen the movie Big? You know the scene when Tom Hanks tells his friend that he is a kid in an adult’s body and they proceed to spend the day gorging themselves on junk food and goofing off? Well that is kinda like Step Brothers. Will and John act like 12 yr olds trapped in 40 yr old bodies for about 105 minutes. It sounds lame, but these guys are professionals! Go see this movie and remember, the language is corse and the genitals that appear in the film are only a prosthetic so no worries. Also the last line in the whole movie before the credits roll will always make me laugh!
