The Wonders of Age

This weekend I took Cara to the Brass Armadillo, the antique place in Grain Valley. I popped her antique cherry I guess! There is nothing quite like an antique store, especially an antique SUPER store. You never know quite what you are going to find and it is quite funny to see what other consider “antique”. Like the 2003 Mike Sweeney bobble head, vintage…haha.

From the moment we walked in, I think Cara was in heaven. I mean she loves shopping and it turns out that she also loves just wandering around a giant building looking at relics. And I am talking like mountains of unorganized clutter. Boxes of VHS tapes, crates of rusty tools, more old deer antlers than anyone could ever want…

I think the irony of it all is that the one purchase I made was actually brand new. I got a Missouri State absorbent car coaster. Good find among all the shot glasses and porcelain dolls.

I love the Brass Armadillo, it is like grandma’s attic, only thousands of square feet of it. You find all those things that you have no use for, but still have the impulse to buy, it is history…if not for you for someone.
