#2 Girlfriends and Baseball

Here is part 2 of a five part series about things that just don’t mix!

Now with the Royals on an amazing 6-2 run to start the season out, coupled by the fact that for the first time in my life I have season tickets to a sporting event, I am in a very good position in life! I am in excited to talk stats and head out to  the ballpark after work, I have absolutely no complaints.

Well my girlfriend doesn’t exactly share my enthusiasm. She gets the short end of the stick unfortunately. I get to see the thrilling winning or the crushing defeats while she stays home and reads about it. And when I finally do get home, maybe I am tired or upset at a loss, what then? She has to go without her bright shining boyfriend for a night.

Clearly girlfriend did not factor into the decision to get season tickets, clearly these two things were never meant to share the same time space continuum. I guess the only sure way around this issue is to have a girlfriend who is willing to go halfsies on season tickets and actually enjoys the game right along side you! Good luck with that one though, they don’t call those girlfriends, they call them dudes. (just kidding, I know girls are capable of loving sports).
